    Apr 26 2026

The Master Storyteller, Paul John Hausleben, of God Bless the Keg Publishing LLC, records a podcast episode that displays what many listeners feel he does best. That is telling stories. This time, PJH relates stories from his eighteen years of traveling and living on the road and his many stops and persons that he met along the way. Travels, stops, and persons, all of which somehow and in some way eventually make it into PJH’s books, his words, and his stories, too.

Many of his stories seem to take place at bars! Surprise! After all, it is God Bless the Keg Publishing LLC. In this episode, PJH tells stories of one of the most fascinating persons that he met along the way—Pete, the world’s smartest bartender. Among the build-up and the backstory, PJH shares nine items that Pete shared with our podcast host as Pete’s, “Lines to live by in life.”

Listen carefully! Pete’s wisdom shines through, and we all could do well to take his advice and use his lines to live by in our own lives.

  • Rated! The Five Best Studio Albums of Alison Sudol aka A Fine Frenzy
    Apr 19 2026

Welcome back to the popular Rated! series of God Bless the Keg Publishing LLC’s podcast episodes!

In, this upbeat and fun Rated! episode, our host, Paul John Hausleben, takes a music suggestion from a listener and records a Rated! episode on the music of Alison Sudol, also known under her former moniker of A Fine Frenzy. This podcast is sure to captivate listeners as it displays the seriousness and skill with which PJH performs his research and then dissects the music of an artist over her career. PJH takes the time to study the music and then explain it and categorize it; and in doing so, PJH shares deep insight and depth into the individual studio albums and musical tracks on each recording. This process is impressive, given that PJH knows little to nothing about the artist before accepting the invitation to rate the recordings. This is a podcast episode that not only entertains but also educates with insight and fun. Maybe it will inspire the listeners to spin a few of these selections and delve into the music and other creativity of Alison Sudol, aka A Fine Frenzy.

  • A Sports Rant! Season-Rushing and Streaming Service Madness!
    Apr 12 2026

Tip! Be sure to listen to the very end of the podcast! Past the closing music because Paul John Hausleben has a little extra fun on this podcast.

Paul John Hausleben is a former ice hockey goalie (#27) and while he hung up his goalie mask and his goalie ice skates a long time ago, he remains a major sports fan. In this podcast episode, Paul John records a classic PJH rant on the state of modern-day sports. While focusing on what Paul John calls “Season Rushing,” PJH also cover his commentary and thoughts on the ever-growing, prolific use of streaming services to broadcast sports, and how nowadays, the average sports fan must spend more hard-earned money to watch sports and follow their favorite sports teams.

PJH is a New Jersey guy, and it is on full display in this podcast, as he does not hold back on his thoughts and tells it as it is, in a logical and factual way, while still understanding the need for progress, but also extolling the virtues of how the simple ways of long ago were so much easier, pleasant, and enjoyable. Not to mention—less expensive.

Tune in and enjoy the rant as only PJH can do it! And be sure to listen all the way to the end!
