  • Rated! The Five Best Studio Albums of Alison Sudol aka A Fine Frenzy
    Apr 19 2026

Welcome back to the popular Rated! series of God Bless the Keg Publishing LLC’s podcast episodes!

In, this upbeat and fun Rated! episode, our host, Paul John Hausleben, takes a music suggestion from a listener and records a Rated! episode on the music of Alison Sudol, also known under her former moniker of A Fine Frenzy. This podcast is sure to captivate listeners as it displays the seriousness and skill with which PJH performs his research and then dissects the music of an artist over her career. PJH takes the time to study the music and then explain it and categorize it; and in doing so, PJH shares deep insight and depth into the individual studio albums and musical tracks on each recording. This process is impressive, given that PJH knows little to nothing about the artist before accepting the invitation to rate the recordings. This is a podcast episode that not only entertains but also educates with insight and fun. Maybe it will inspire the listeners to spin a few of these selections and delve into the music and other creativity of Alison Sudol, aka A Fine Frenzy.

  • A Sports Rant! Season-Rushing and Streaming Service Madness!
    Apr 12 2026

Tip! Be sure to listen to the very end of the podcast! Past the closing music because Paul John Hausleben has a little extra fun on this podcast.

Paul John Hausleben is a former ice hockey goalie (#27) and while he hung up his goalie mask and his goalie ice skates a long time ago, he remains a major sports fan. In this podcast episode, Paul John records a classic PJH rant on the state of modern-day sports. While focusing on what Paul John calls “Season Rushing,” PJH also cover his commentary and thoughts on the ever-growing, prolific use of streaming services to broadcast sports, and how nowadays, the average sports fan must spend more hard-earned money to watch sports and follow their favorite sports teams.

PJH is a New Jersey guy, and it is on full display in this podcast, as he does not hold back on his thoughts and tells it as it is, in a logical and factual way, while still understanding the need for progress, but also extolling the virtues of how the simple ways of long ago were so much easier, pleasant, and enjoyable. Not to mention—less expensive.

Tune in and enjoy the rant as only PJH can do it! And be sure to listen all the way to the end!

    Apr 5 2026

In keeping with the God Bless the Keg Publishing LLC’s holiday traditions, our dedicated podcast host, Mr. Paul John Hausleben, does not take the holiday off. Instead, he slips behind the microphone to record a special holiday episode for Easter and to help welcome spring to the world. After much study and research, comments, and debate, and after a discussion with his own dear mum, PJH decides to resurrect and read for the listeners for this special holiday episode, a masterpiece of a flash fiction piece, A Few Beers with Jesus.

PJH composed this story in 2024 and later featured in his book Flashes, Sparks, and Shorts. Flash Three

A Few Beers with Jesus happens to be one of dear Mum’s as well as readers' favorite stories, too!

Along the way, PJH shares some poignant points about the Easter holiday and some religious tidbits and teaches us all that no matter what our beliefs are, we really have so much in common.

While no one would consider A Few Beers with Jesus as a mainstream religious story, and it might be an unusual setting and thought to sit and have a few beers with Jesus—the lessons and the message remain powerful, religious, and touchingly emotional. No readers or critics could or would ever consider PJH and his writings and discussions as mainstream or conventional.

  • The Growing Old Podcast!
    Mar 29 2026

    The Growing Old Podcast!

Paul John Hausleben’s radio and raconteur hero is the late, great Jean Shepherd and in this podcast episode, Pauly unleashes his best imitation of Mr. Shepherd in the spirit of how Old Shep told stories years ago on the classic AM radio station WOR in New York City. PJH tells the story of a week of ups and downs and how after taking a silly internet survey about growing old and several other incidents induced a humdrum mood with The Master Storyteller.

As one story and one incident leads to another, our host tells how a simple incident, a simple encounter, with a very kind elderly man, who presented Pauly with a simple gift, not only inspired PJH to feel much better with his mood but also helped him complete a short story that he was struggling with.

This is classic old-fashioned storytelling as only Paul John Hausleben can do or dares to do in this modern world we live in these days.
