Il coltello nella piaga

Emmanuel è a tavola con i suoi per uno dei periodici pranzi in famiglia. Simula serenità e spensieratezza, ma il suo pensiero è costantemente rivolto a Gianni, ricoverato in ospedale e ormai convalescente, ma stranamente apatico nei suoi confronti.

Ad un certo punto riceve una telefonata da Massimiliano e si apparta. Suo padre equivoca e pensa che si tratti di un colloquio con una nuova ragazza, e perciò, quando Emmanuel, molto scosso, torna a sedersi a tavola, lo sottopone ad un fuoco di fila di domande che mettono a disagio il ragazzo e non fanno altro che girare il coltello nella piaga.

Emmanuel is sitting at the table with his family for one of their regular family lunches. He puts on an air of calm and carefreeness, but his thoughts are constantly on Gianni, who is in hospital and now recovering, yet is strangely indifferent towards him.

At one point, he receives a phone call from Massimiliano and steps aside. His father misinterprets the situation and assumes he is talking to a new girlfriend, so when Emmanuel, clearly shaken, returns to the table, his father bombards him with a barrage of questions that make the boy feel uncomfortable and only serve to rub salt into the wound.

Anni Azzurri

Gianni ha superato la crisi e sta pian piano tentando di recuperare: ora si trova nella clinica milanese "Anni Azzurri", dove i sanitari lo sottopongono ad una serie di terapie per la riabilitazione funzionale. Si trova però ancora sulla sedia a rotelle e riesce a parlare con difficoltà. Emmanuel, sempre pronto a vedere il bicchiere mezzo pieno, è entusiasta dei suoi progressi, mentre Massimiliano appare scettico e perplesso.

Alla fine però Gianni riserva una spiacevole sorpresa a Emmanuel.

Gianni has come through the crisis and is slowly trying to recover: he is currently at the ‘Anni Azzurri’ clinic in Milan, where the medical staff are putting him through a series of functional rehabilitation therapies. However, he is still in a wheelchair and finds it difficult to speak. Emmanuel, always keen to see the glass as half full, is enthusiastic about his progress, whilst Massimiliano appears sceptical and perplexed.

In the end, however, Gianni gives Emmanuel a nasty surprise.

Crollo nervoso

Terribilmente sotto stress per l'incidente capitato a Gianni e in ansia per le sue condizioni di salute, Emmanuel aspetta la telefonata di Massimiliano, che non arriva.

I suoi nervi cedono. Gli restano accanto i fedeli amici Carlos e Mayra e la cagnona Bella, che cercano, ciascuno a modo suo, di tirarlo su di morale. Ma, come spesso, sarà Mayra a dare a Emmanuel il consiglio giusto, impedendogli di sprofondare nel torpore e di lasciarsi divorare dall'ansia.

Terribly stressed by Gianni's accident and anxious about his health, Emmanuel waits for Massimiliano's phone call, but it never arrives.

L'episodio risale ai tempi in cui il fotografo Gianni stava lanciando nel mondo della moda Emmanuel ventenne, bisognoso di soldi.

Qualcosa all'improvviso nel loro rapporto si inceppa: il ragazzo si ritrova di colpo senza punti di riferimento in un mondo che gli è totalmente estraneo, senza alcuna colpa se non quella di essere un "marmottino", come lo chiama affettuosamente Gianni.

Emmanuel ne soffre più del previsto. Resta da capire se il fotografo riuscirà a fare a meno di lui.

Suddenly, something goes wrong in their relationship. The boy suddenly finds himself adrift in a world that is completely alien to him, through no fault of his own other than being a ‘little marmot’, as Gianni affectionately calls him.

Emmanuel is finding it harder than expected. It remains to be seen whether the photographer will be able to manage without him.

The boy suddenly finds himself without any reference points in a world that is totally foreign to him, without any fault other than being a "little marmot", as Gianni affectionately calls him.

Emmanuel suffers more than expected. It remains to be seen whether the photographer will be able to do without him.

The interpreters are Emmanuel The Second and Gianni himself.

Il ragazzo sopporta, sia per amore di Gianni, sia perché ha bisogno di soldi, e cerca di vedere il lato positivo della situazione: per esempio un ottimo pranzo in una trattoria e la semplice spontaneità di Aaron, che lo prende in simpatia.

Has Gianni decided to lose Emmanuel's love?

The photographer's behavior in this part of the episode is provocative and almost comical, but the second part will take on dramatic tones: for Emmanuel in fact it will be a very hard blow.
