That's one reason we created The Dwelling Place Podcast: to help busy moms stay rooted in God's Word every single day, even during the busiest seasons of life.In this special episode of Again: What Moms Do Over and Over Matters to God, we're sharing a sample episode from The Dwelling Place as we begin one of the Bible's most fascinating—and challenging—books: Ecclesiastes. If you've ever folded laundry, packed lunches, cleaned the kitchen, driven carpool, or cared for little ones and wondered, "Does any of this really matter?" you're not alone. Ecclesiastes wrestles with questions of purpose, meaning, and significance.King Solomon famously declares, "Vanity of vanities! All is vanity." Yet as we study this book through the lens of the gospel, we discover a powerful truth: what is done for Christ is never wasted. In this episode, Stephanie shares her honest struggle with Ecclesiastes, why Solomon's life can be both frustrating and instructive, and how the book ultimately points us to Jesus—the only foundation that gives lasting meaning to our lives. Most importantly, we hope this episode encourages you to join us all summer long on The Dwelling Place Podcast as we read through God's Word together, one chapter at a time.In This EpisodeWhy summer can be a difficult season for Bible readingAn introduction to the book of EcclesiastesWhy Solomon repeatedly calls life "vanity"What Ecclesiastes teaches Christian momsThe difference between worldly success and eternal significanceSolomon's failures and God's graceWhy everyday faithfulness matters to GodHow Jesus gives purpose to ordinary motherhoodA simple way to stay consistent in Scripture this summerKey ScripturesEcclesiastes 1:2Ecclesiastes 12:13–141 Kings 11:9–101 Corinthians 3:11–13Matthew 25:40For Moms This SummerWe know your routines may look different over the next few months. May 28 2026
Raising Children for Christ Starts With the Gospel

Welcome to Again Podcast — because what moms do over and over matters to God.

In this powerful episode, Stephanie Hickox sits down with Betsy and David Corning to talk about the true foundation of Christian parenting: faith in Jesus Christ.

What does it mean to be entrusted with children by God? How can moms faithfully point their children to Jesus in the ordinary, repetitive rhythms of motherhood? And what hope is there for parents who feel like they started too late?

Together, this conversation explores the heart of biblical parenting, discipleship, and salvation—reminding weary moms that their children ultimately belong to the Lord, and that God faithfully works through imperfect parents who depend on Him.

This episode also includes a clear Gospel presentation through the “Bridge Illustration,” walking step-by-step through Scripture to explain:

    • Why we were created for relationship with God
    • How sin separates us from Him
    • Why Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation
    • What it means to repent and believe
    • How the Gospel transforms motherhood, marriage, and family life

  • #116. Do Christian Parents in a Digital Age Still Need to Know Where to Look in their Bibles? "Get the Word Out" Chapter Summary Statements with Author Betsy Corning
    May 21 2026

Today Author and Entrusted Ministries Founder Betsy Corning and I talk about another tool with our Bible study method, Get the Word Out. What's so great is that each of these tools help you think about the Word of God and understand it in a different way! Today, we're talking about chapter summary statements and chapter summaries because recently in my parenting, there was a situation with my son where he was struggling to honor an authority figure in his life. I wanted to guide him with the Word of God, and I was so thankful that I knew to pull out 1 Peter chapter 2 to display Jesus' submission to authority and tell my son what God's expectations of him were. I know I could have Googled it or pulled out my phone, but I think it would've completely distracted us from our conversation. We know you are so busy, but this might be a simple tool that you could enact to help you disciple your children well. We'll keep this episode nice and brief because we wanna equip you and help you get back to all the things!
