We've had a couple of guests on recently to talk about how we can fix government and democracy, but no one has worked on this so much as Edmund Maklouf. His audio is a bit quiet due to his setup, but listen carefully, and we'll question things like voting, how we decide who the leaders are, and what the group should do, and how we scale that to entire societies using ancient principles. His new book, The Majority Myth: How Voting Really Works, Why It Is Failing, and How We Can Fix It questions the math of the majority and why majority rule may not be the way forward.

Today on The Cameron Journal Podcast, we are joined by Stanislas Yassukovich, who is the author of many books, and we'll be talking about his latest book, Summertime and Other Stories. He is someone who has come straight out of the British writing establishment with all the right books published by all the right people. His life is fascinating: his family moved around Europe and America, which led him to drop out of Harvard twice and eventually into banking, where he worked in the City of London, helping create modern international capital flows and becoming the godfather of the modern, globalized economy. The great writing was just a side gig. We're going to talk about his life and so much more in this fascinating chat where I say very little. Listen along with me.
