  • The Watchers' Rewatch episode 31: I Only Have Eyes For You
    May 13 2026
The students and staff of Sunnydale High are reenacting a traumatic past event - because they don't have enough present-day trauma, obvs. Will this deathly cycle repeat ad infinitum? Will Buffy be able to handle her own trauma? Will Xander ever know the love of a woman? You know, in a full body sense?

  • The Watchers' Rewatch episode 30: Killed by Death
    May 6 2026
Buffy is unwell, to the point where she's hospitalised. She then sees something so freaky that it still makes me borderline psychologically unwell - the creepiest-looking monster we've seen so far in the Buffyverse (I know, you'll just have to wait till season 4 episode 'Hush' for *them*). Buffy decides, as she usually does, that violence is probably;y the answer. And as usual, she is correct!

  • The Watchers' Rewatch episode 29: Passion
    Apr 29 2026

In one of the most emotional episodes of the show, Buffy must contend with the culmination of Angelus's sadistic games. Meanwhile, Jenny is working on a way to get herself back in Buffy's, and Giles's, good graces - by restoring Angel's soul once more.

As a bonus, we are joined by Raging Demon of the Kommand List podcast. Check them out for all of your fighting game commentary, as well as chat about how dodgy the physics in the film 'Dead or Alive' are (seriously, *how* do those homing message shuriken things even work?)

  • The Watchers' Rewatch episode 28: Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered
    Apr 22 2026
Xander and Cordelia are finally starting to mesh, which means it's time for them to break up. Emotionally devastated by this, Xander decides a love spell is in order. This will let him live happily ever after.... in the knowledge that he can break up with Cordy and put her through the pain he's experiencing. He intends revenge, pure as the driven snow! This being both Sunnydale and also a plan of Xander Harris, something goes wrong. Actually, more than one something. I believe the equation of how many things go wrong is "x = w - 1" where 'w' is the number of adolescent girls/women in Sunnydale and 'x' is the number of things that go wrong.

  • The Watchers' Rewatch episode 27: Phases
    Apr 15 2026
As a palate-cleansing follow-up to an incredibly dramatic episode, this episode features much more light-hearted themes like body horror, loss of agency, murder for profit, and murder as a tool to torture your ex. Oh, and blatant teleportation. That one *really* got me.

  • The Watchers' Rewatch episode 26: Innocence
    Apr 8 2026
Angel does all the things that men do after sleeping with their partner for the first time: leave while they're still sleeping, casually disregard their emotions afterwards, say "Love you too" without meaning it... lose his soul, eat a random woman whilst somehow inhaling her cigarette smoke, physically attack your friends, taunt you about your unwillingness to kill him, and support an apocalypse monster in its goal to wipe out all humanity in the world until it gets destroyed in spectacular fashion. You know - the *classics*.

  • The Watchers' Rewatch episode 25: Surprise
    Apr 1 2026
Buffy's 17th birthday is approaching, as are the various body parts of The Judge. Emotions will be high, plots will be revealed, foiled, and brought to completion. Character revelations will be... revealed! And Buffy will go through *three* outfits in one night due to getting the first one wet and the second one... look, there's apparently a lot of water in this one, ok?

  • The Watchers' Rewatch episode 24: Bad Eggs
    Mar 25 2026
Buffy finds herself inside a story about a hive mind that is controlling people, only it's a really really *poor* version of that story unlike Ender's Game, The Borg, The Faculty, or anything tangential like Invasion of the Body Snatchers. And we are both *very* grumpy about how badly this episode presents almost everything. If you thought I was harsh on 'Witch' then hold onto your stakes because we have almost nothing positive to say about this episode!
