Use a YouTube Research Channel to Generate Endless Video Ideas

In this episode of the YouTube Success Podcast, I explain why every YouTuber should create a separate “research channel” to generate endless content ideas and get inside the mind of their ideal client. I share how I learned this at VidSummit and mention you can also attend Tube Fast on April 23rd–24th in Birmingham. I walk through creating a new YouTube channel via switch account, view all channels, and create new channel, then using it only as your ideal viewer by subscribing to competitors and watching long-form videos and Shorts so the algorithm builds a clean, niche-specific home feed. I stress only using this account for research, cleaning watch history if it gets “infected,” and using the recommended videos daily for ideation and inspiration without copying word-for-word.

How Loneliness and Money Sparked TubeFest (and Why I Started Too Fast)

In this episode of the YouTube Success Podcast, I explains how loneliness and money motivated him to launch TubeFest, an independent video marketing event for creators and business owners.

TubeFest launched in 2024 with nearly 200 attendees, stumbled in 2025 after I went “too big, too fast,” and is now set for April 23–24, 2026 in Birmingham at the Eastside Rooms with 200 tickets sold, more sponsors, and YouTube and TikTok speaking.
