Thyestes is a tragic rendition of the fraternal civil war within House Atreides. This 1st century A.D. play was written by the Stoic philosopher Seneca and has been translated into readable prose for a 21st century audience.

Volumul "Rămâi cu bine" conţine o selecție de scrisori care au fost trimise de Seneca acum 2000 de ani şi acum au ajuns la noi. "Ramâi cu bine" nu este doar o formă de a lua rămas bun la incheierea unei scrisori, ci şi o aducere aminte: "Eu plec, tu rămâi cu tine. Întotdeauna eşti cu tine. Ai grijă de ceea ce este cu adevărat al tău - timpul tău şi partea ceea bună din tine!"

In this selection of letters to a friend and an essay addressed to the Roman Emperor Nero, Roman statesman Seneca argues that the stoic life of virtue, courage, justice and temperance need not prevent a life lived with joy, and was within the reach of any man determined to behave ethically and with moderation.

The original Latin name of this important essay by Seneca, written around 60 CE, was De Beneficiis, which is why it is generally translated as ‘On Benefits'. However, it is more usefully titled ‘On Favours', because this is what it is essentially about: the giving and receiving of favours, with all the implications of such transactions.
