Everyone deserves a day off, right? That's just what Jessica and Cheeky are enjoying when a pair of old "friends" show up and force them to smuggle weapons into the Serenity System. On their own with just a small interstellar pinnace at their disposal, Jessica and Cheeky aren't going to let someone else force them to smuggle weapons (especially when there's no profit in it for them), and they take control of their ship and escape. Unfortunately, they still end up in the Serenity System...with the weapons.

After near disaster trying to escape the Transcend at the Grey Wolf Star, Jessica and the crew of the Sabrina find themselves thousands of light years from their intended destination, deep in the Perseus Arm, at one of the furthest colonized worlds in the galaxy. Sabrina has taken damage, Cheeky is in critical condition, and their supplies of antimatter and fusables are critically low. The only system in sight? Controlled by the Orion Guard - their enemy.

After nine long years of searching the Inner Stars, Jessica and the crew of Sabrina have finally found the president's brother, Finaeus Tomlinson. Now Finaeus has convinced them to take a shortcut through a jump gate - a new technology none of them have ever used before - located at a secret dwarf star mining operation. But a mysterious group within the Transcend Space Force, known as the Grey Division, has orders to intercept and capture both Jessica and Finaeus. Trapped at the bottom of a steep gravity well and surrounded by enemies, Jessica and the crew of Sabrina must find a way out of the Grey Wolf System and deliver the crucial information Finaeus carries back to New Canaan before even their allies are forced to turn against them.

Jax and the crew of the Lightning Runner have narrowly escaped Sinclair and her DSA fleet, but their troubles are far from over. The flight from Iydra Station has depleted their antimatter reserves. Without resupply, they’ll have limited options should they run into trouble again - which they fully intend to do. With numerous parties hunting for their ship, Jax must choose their haven carefully.

The operation aboard the Daedalus was a success, but the aftermath threatens to undo everything the Jax and his team have achieved. Separated from his ship, he is forced to work with Penny, the agent of a notorious black-market arms dealer. Their lifeboat has taken serious damage, and the only way they can survive the maelstrom is to journey to its center. Safety lies aboard an ancient ship. However, Jax immediately finds himself facing a new challenge at the behest of a new master - all the while avoiding the prior ones who want their pound flesh...and credit.

One last adventure...It has been nine years since the Sabrina’s ill-fated jump through the gate at the Grey Wolf Star. Jessica and the crew have nearly made it across the breadth of the Orion Freedom Alliance, and are less than a year from the nebulous border with the Inner Stars. While waiting for cargo to be ready on the planet Ferra, the crew spends a day in the city, relaxing, and taking in the sights. Until Cheeky is abducted....

Tanis Richards, commander of the TSS Kirby Jones and her crew are at the tail end of a long patrol on the fringes of the Terran Hegemony when they come across a freighter suspected of smuggling goods out of InnerSol.
