Many people think that the only way to get to Wizard School is to take the train. But if you can’t afford the train, there is a bus to Wizard School. Yet Buster Tensyllables didn’t take the bus or the train. He did take a bus, but not the one to Wizard School and not the one to the Prep School where his parents thought he was heading. He took a bus for a short distance, then he walked. Along the way, he met Sidney Rather Nottingham who was also walking to Wizard School. Luckily, one of them knew the way. Otherwise they would have been lost.

In this part of the Series, The Wizard Without a Wand, we follow the story of a Wand as it searches for its Wizard. For every Wand has a particular Wizard, just as every Wizard has a particular Wand. Indeed, when a Wizard uses a Wand, they become indistinguishable. Just how did this Wand come to be? How did it end up in the Underground City? How does its story interweave with that of Shmedley Thrumbledack - The Wizard Without a Wand.

The Tensome are back at Wizard school for their fourth and final year. When they graduate they will be Wizards. What obstacles and opportunities lie in their path? Before they return, the Tensome are determined to get Shmedley a Wand. This is his last year of Wizard School. He really needs to have a Wand. Shmedley has made it through three years of Wizard School very successfully without having a Wand.

Moose Feather is a story of a young boy named Davey. His family decides to move to an Intentional Community - one where everybody has different responsibilities. In this community, everybody is assigned a Community Name. Davey gets the great name of Moose Feather, except Davey doesn’t think it’s so great. Davey has a hard time becoming part of the community. He has left all his friends behind. He meets a girl named Chipmunk who helps him with his transition. After school is over for the year, all the kids in the community move into a different time and reality - unbeknownst to the adults.

I’ve attended parties where people try to break the ice by asking, What’s the grossest meat you’ve ever eaten? This book is not about that topic. For one thing, I’m a meat minimalist or a virtual vegetarian. I think that most people in the US, Europe, and other developed countries eat too much meat. It’s not good for us. It’s not good for the environment. And it’s certainly not good for the animals who get eaten. Did they have a choice in the matter? But I’m not here to shove my point of view down your throat; or anything else for that matter.
