Rob didn't think of himself as anyone special, but when a pitch-black portal tried to wrap his best friend in chains, he stepped up without thinking and found himself ensnared instead. His moment of heroism results in being torn away from everyone he knew and loved, kidnapped by an unknown force that leaves him with a note in his pocket stating: "Good luck." After being thrown into the wilderness of Elatra, a hostile fantasy world ruled by levels, stats, progression, and bizarre video game logic, he finds himself entirely out of his depth.

Against all odds, Rob and the Deserters have survived their second encounter with the eldritch abomination–known as the Blight–only for Rob to make first contact with the gods of Elatra in a very...aggressive way. His enemies keep on piling up, and things are looking to get even tougher from here on out. If Rob and his friends want to survive their upcoming trials, they'll need to gain Levels, make new allies, and travel to the ends of the world and back again.

A chain, a portal, and darkness. That was all it took for Rob's life to go from the mundanity of college to being forced to survive in a hostile fantasy world full of horribly mutated creatures. Despite discovering civilization and making allies, his newfound home was sadly short-lived, leaving the survivors to pick up the pieces and make for greener pastures. Having won the respect of the locals via a heroic almost-sacrifice, Rob travels with them, recognizing the importance of having people around to watch your back.

In the western Deadlands, the Blight has risen. Something unknown yet terrible is transpiring there. Panicked, the gods of Elatra hurriedly sent a message to all High-Level Combat Class users: "Band together. Stop this threat. Or all will be lost." Rob and Riardin's Rangers have been put in the awkward position of needing to ally with the gods and the Dragon Queen in order to survive. It's an uneasy alliance that only grows more strained as time goes on. Mutual benefit is barely enough to keep them from turning on each other.

After curing the Corruption plague in Fiend territory, Rob, Riardin's Rangers, and the Deserters have settled into their new home. It's given them the stability they've been striving for ever since being forced to flee The Village so many months ago. Unfortunately, their well-earned rest is cut short when a Dwarven messenger arrives, begging for assistance. The Blight has returned. And without Rob's help, Dwarven territory will fall.

The shadow of betrayal lurks in every corner. Adam has taken control as the new Lord of Penumbria, defeated two fearsomely strong Ghosts, and stolen multiple abilities using his new Talent. Now that he's established his power base, he wants to do everything he can to improve his city's dismal situation, hoping to give his subjects an easier life. If he's given the chance. A diplomatic trip to the Puppet Mines goes awry when a specter from his past comes back to haunt him. Adam is summoned to meet with the Painted World's Emperor, who is offering to legitimize the upstart Lord's position.

Rob and Riardin's Rangers have returned triumphant after assisting Dwarven territory and Merfolk territory. They endured the Blight, betrayals, and bombs, barely managing to prevail over the many trials that assailed them. An alliance has been brokered between nations, and for the first time, the Blight seems like it's on the ropes.

The end is nigh. Separated from his friends, Rob has marched deep into the western Deadlands. He draws closer to the Blight with every step. So do the rest of his allies. Very soon, the Deadlands will erupt into a cataclysmic battle to decide the fate of Elatra. The gods. The Blight. Dragon Queen Ragnavi. Riardin's Rangers. Forces are colliding. Only one faction will survive.

Adam isn't isn't even given the chance to lick his wounds after a deep betrayal before a mysterious force pulls him into into a new, fantastical world. He doesn't mind much. Penniless, luckless, and aimless, Adam wasn't particularly fond of his old world anyway. Maybe this can be the fresh start he needs. First, he'll have to deal with being attacked by shadowy monsters, imprisoned by guardsmen, and pressed into service by the resident nobility. But unlike Earth...he's not entirely powerless.

It hasn't been easy for Jason ever since his best friend vanished, sacrificing himself to prevent Jason from being dragged into an otherworldly portal. The world didn't seem to care like it should, and just as he was getting back on his feet, bizarre monsters from other worlds began to invade, terrorizing Earth. A lesser man would have wanted to run away from it all. Jason picked up a sword and started beating the hell out of things.

Jason has finally gotten confirmation that Rob is alive. Now, all he has to do is ensure that Rob still has a home to return to when all is said and done. After defeating a Blighted copy of himself and growing stronger, Jason puts all his efforts into defending Earth from the eldritch monsters that seek to devour it. Unfortunately, sometimes, humans make for the worst kinds of monsters. Jason's investigation into a series of bizarre incidents reveals horrifying experimentation that would put an ordinary mad scientist to shame.

Aus dem Regen in die Sintflut. Rob hat es in letzter Zeit nicht gerade leicht gehabt. Nachdem er seinen besten Freund Jason davor bewahrt hatte, in ein jenseitiges Portal gezogen zu werden, fand er sich in einer Fantasiewelt wieder, die von Levels, Statistiken und einer seltsamen Videospiellogik bestimmt wird. Das Einzige, was noch feindseliger war als die mutierte Tierwelt des Waldes, waren die Einheimischen – ein Dorf von Elfen, die aufgrund eines verheerenden Krieges, der erst acht Jahre zurückliegt, Menschen zu hassen scheinen.

Rob hielt sich selbst nicht für besonders. Doch als ein pechschwarzes Portal versucht, seinen besten Freund zu fesseln, schreitet er ohne nachzudenken ein und wird stattdessen selbst Opfer davon. Sein heldenhafter Auftritt führt dazu, dass er von allen, die er kennt und liebt, weggerissen und von einer unbekannten Macht entführt wird, die ihn mit einer Notiz in seiner Tasche zurücklässt, auf der steht: "Viel Glück.

Eine Kette, ein Portal und Dunkelheit …Das war alles, was es brauchte, um Robs Leben von den alltäglichen Dingen des Colleges in eine feindliche Fantasiewelt voller schrecklich mutierter Kreaturen zu verfrachten.
