Egons liv är ingen framgångssaga varken privat eller i yrkeslivet som terapeut. Självhjälpsboken som ska få allt att vända verkar inte gå att slutföra och den nya chefen kräver att han ska dra in fler klienter. För att fylla sin patientkvot tvingas han leda en gruppterapi men gruppens medlemmar har inte bara svårt att hantera sina egna liv, de har dessutom väldigt svårt för Egon.
