Travel Tales: Wild Animals is a collection of wildlife-viewing stories including some very scary tales of often coming close to serious trouble with wild animals in your travels but managing to just barely escape. It is also a collection of the fearful sorts of things that can and do happen to travelers, but, mostly, these will not happen to you. But if they do, you get to experience real raw fear, including sometimes fear for your very own life. These are very unsettling occasions that may pop up now and again in your travels.

This audiobook deals with safety and security of the woman solo traveler. Unfortunately, travel today finds us in a world of growing terror threats, the imposition of severe and strict cultural and religious restrictions on women's rights and freedoms, as well as decreasing tolerance for cultural and religious differences and diversity around the world. Every woman traveling abroad needs to know about and prepare herself for dealing with such things. Again, while travel is mostly safe, it can also be foreboding and downright dangerous at times and one must be prudent.

London is one of my most favorite cities, not only in Europe, but also in the entire world. And I love England and the rest of the U.K. as well. And while London is always exciting for me to visit, it is the whole of the United Kingdom that remains particularly etched in my memories.

Paris is by far my most favorite city, not only in Europe but in all the world. And I love France as well. And while modern Paris is always exciting for me to visit, it is the old Paris that remains particularly etched in my memories. I got to know Paris particularly well when I researched it for my travel guide series to sightseeing by public transportation, Michael Brein's Travel Guide to Paris by the Metro. Although you could say that I popped in and out of holes in the ground (the Metro!), I still walked a great deal all around Paris.

It's "award time" so to speak! It's now that I choose to pause for a bit and select the very best of the best so far, from approximately the first third of some 600 hours of roughly 10,000 recorded travel tales told to me over the last four decades by nearly 1,750 world travelers and adventurers, whom I've encountered during my many journeys across our globe.

An airline story is in the news today! And so it goes. There's hardly a day now that an airline incident of some sort or another is not in the news. We're taking a lot closer look at air travel these days than ever before. Therefore, as regards the psychology of travel, we should take a much closer look at what actually happens on airplanes.

Why not laugh yourself silly with this collection of funny, hilarious, gut-wrenching travel humor. Oh yeah, we do our fair share of ridiculous, raucous, belly-achingly funny things when we travel. And, I ask you: Is this not one of the most important goals of travel - to laugh ourselves stupid?
