An alien civilization offers the human race a deal—access to the Other Side and the extraction of its resources in exchange for technology and knowledge. Thanks to this, humanity opens up a whole new universe full of unusual opportunities. Alex, just starting out as a prospector, sets off to the Other Side for the first time, but during the journey he finds himself in an unknown and extremely dangerous area, from where he can only escape over the bodies of his enemies.

Life as a lonely prospector is over, but many problems remain. An insurmountable obstacle has arisen on the way to the big world—and now Alex must save his team from a trap in which even veterans of the Other Side are dying.

The conflict between skilled mercenaries and the trapped group of prospectors has been getting worse. New monsters have also been arriving in the anomalous zone. Some of them have even managed to get over to Earth. Their abilities have been increasing so much that they will soon be able to devour humans and mercenaries alike and nothing will stop them becoming kings of the Other Side. If that happens, Earth will lose its chance to stay isolated from other worlds. Survival is possible if unique skills can be developed. It's a risk worth taking but the prospectors are running out of time.

Alex leads the group in search of a human camp in the center of the valley. Everyone has their wits about them as they all know one false step could be fatal. Until now, their main enemies have been monsters and the Storm, but the Other Side has attracted plenty of attention from elsewhere and now it's not just creatures who the group have to look out for. A band of mercenaries is heading their way....
