For starters, you need to recognize that if you’re not feeling motivated, it,s not just your physical energy but your mental energy, as well. And mental energy becomes drained when you (whether you realize it or not) are avoiding stuff that you really "should" be doing. Essentially, what I’m saying here is that it's always a lot more difficult to motivate yourself to do things you should be doing instead of the ones that you want to be doing.

What we do for a living has a massive impact on our life. Our job affects the people we associate with, the way we see the world, as well as our financial security and social status. Many people know that they want to change their career situation. But they often don’t know what steps to take to work their way up into a better job.
