『よだかの星』は1921年（大正10年）頃執筆された宮沢賢治の児童向け短編で、賢治没後に発表された。 みにくい鳥よだかを題材に、『風の又三郎』、『銀河鉄道の夜』などと共に、疎外という テーマを扱った賢治の代表的な作品。 宮沢 賢治（みやざわ けんじ、岩手県生まれ、1896年 - 1933年）童話作家、詩人。郷土をこよなく愛し、作品中にも岩手をモチーフにした架空の理想郷が登場する。
