Als sie auch noch hören, dass ein Mann auf dem Schulhof Handys zu Spottpreisen anbietet, vermuten die vier Freunde, dass da ein Zusammenhang bestehen könnte.

Bei einem Ausflug in den Zoo wird Hausmeister Maulhart das prall gefüllte Portemonnaie gestohlen. Aber er ist nicht der Einzige, wie die Grundschul-Superhelden kurze Zeit später erfahren. Als Anna, Caro, Jonas und Finn herausfinden möchten, wer den Zoogästen wieder und wieder die Geldbörsen aus der Tasche zieht, haben sie schnell mehrere Verdächtige. Unter anderem einen Schulkameraden, der sich sehr merkwürdig verhält. Die Grundschul-Superhelden geben alles, um den Fall zu lösen.

Einmal im Jahr findet im Tierischen Kindergarten das Verkleidungsfest statt. Ziel ist es, den Menschen- und Tierkindern zu helfen, sich in die Rollen anderer Lebewesen hineinzuversetzen. Die Kostümideen werden zunächst nicht verraten, denn der Spaß besteht darin zu erraten, als was sich die Kinder genau verkleidet haben. Das ist nicht immer einfach. Wenn aus Schweinen Igel, aus Maulwürfen Biber und aus Wölfen plötzlich Ponys werden, kann man sich vorstellen, wie tierisch komisch es im tierischen Kindergarten zugeht.

Große Freude bei den Kindern und Tieren im Tierischen Kindergarten: Der Bürgermeister schenkt Paul, Paula und den anderen Kindern Karten für die große Dino-Ausstellung im Naturkundemuseum, denn er ist der Meinung, dass die Kinder sich diese einmalige Attraktion in Glücksdorf unbedingt einmal ansehen sollten. Beim Besuch des historischen Dino-Skeletts überkommt Jamie, dem Windhundwelpen, allerdings leider das Bedürfnis, an einem der Knochen zu knabbern. Dabei stellt sich heraus, dass das Skelett nicht so stabil ist, wie es scheint...
