The case at Nadderwater Rise Boilermakers left an enduring impression upon me. The Professor and I witnessed firsthand how machines can turn on their masters. Despite our meticulous investigations yielding no trace of the supernatural, the staff's fervent claims and the allure of the master's exotic relics prompt me to call on Gwen Honeycutt's keen insight to unravel the truth.

A bizarre and rather personal case brought us to the Somerset Gardens Sanatorium. An evil entity that haunted an innocent young girl took an unhealthy interest in me, and the consequences of ignoring its influence were utterly catastrophic. The violence and mayhem wrought upon the Professor's laboratory were brought about through my own arrogance, and were it not for the sacrifice of others I would have lost that most fragile of gifts, Sanity.

We are all of us, without exception, innately capable of sin. This truth was thrust upon me by a cantankerous ghost when we investigated the haunting of the Saunders house on Livermead Hill. The house itself was a grim construction, steeped in sorrow borne from secrets, anger fueled by lies and the bitter taint of betrayal.
