Blood and Water

Victoria was looking for a hot date, but she didn't expect to pick up a vampire. Thrust into a world where mythical creatures exist, Victoria has to learn how to adapt when everyone around seems to want her dead. She finds an unlikely friend and companion in a sexy lone wolf who takes her under his wing and tries to teach her to be a proper vampire. With Victoria's killer still on the move and danger threatening to close in from every side, will she able to make it past being a fledgling?

Never trust a stranger. That's what Victoria's parents had taught her. People will try to hurt you and take advantage of you if they can. Had she only listened to that advice, she might not have ended up in a puddle of her own blood, her eyes frozen open in terror, the dark brown of them faded and icy from death. To die once was a horrible thing, but a second death, even worse than the first, loomed just ahead. When an unlikely stranger comes to Victoria's aid, she can't figure out if he's a savior or a devil.

Taking care of an injured vampire is hard, especially when you're bleeding profusely. In an attempt to save both of their lives, Seth leaves Victoria alone in his apartment and takes refuge with an old friend. But old friends bring back old memories, and Seth finds himself mulling over pivotal moments in his past, from the time when his best friend died to an uncomfortable meeting with the Vampire High Council that changed his outlook on both vampires and life.

Being a fledgling vampire is hard, especially when you want to eat everything with a pulse. It's time for Victoria's first feeding, and Harlow has taken it upon himself to teach her how to be a proper vampire. But what could a werewolf possibly know about being a vampire?

After a failed attempt at feeding Victoria a vegetarian diet, Seth realizes he's bitten off more than he can chew. Gabe is now convinced that the vampire is dangerous, and he's not above going over Seth's head to take care of her. With both of their lives in danger, Seth must figure out what to do with Victoria. Can a werewolf train a vampire, or is she better off with her own kind?
