Critter Catchers: Level Up

Things have been quiet for the Critter Catchers of Parson’s Hollow. Sure, Cody and Demetrius have critters to catch: raccoons, chipmunks, and the odd possum or two. But there’s been a refreshing lack of monsters. Until Cody hits a man with his truck on a dark, lonely stretch of highway, and he’s shocked to discover it’s the town mayor…whose funeral they attended the week before!

Best friends turned husbands Cody Bower and Demetrius Singleton have seen a dip in their business since the zombie uprising earlier that summer. The family of one of the zombies dispatched by Cody has filed a civil lawsuit against him and their Critter Catchers business, and the case is causing more than a little stress. While it has yet to affect their relationship, it is definitely affecting their income. When two people drown out at Parson’s Pond, Sheriff’s Deputy Lucia Durant comes knocking at their door asking for their insight.

With the loss of their business, Critter Catchers Cody and Demetrius have found work with the Parson’s Hollow Department of Public Works. It’s far from ideal as they spend their days working for a town that’s never truly thanked them for their many sacrifices. At night, they enjoy time together, feeding their foster raccoon or visiting with family and friends. A calm life, without a monster in sight.

Cody and Demetrius have been through a lot, but they're keeping positive attitudes and moving forward. Until, that is, the entire Bower clan comes into town, emotions running high, and their small house feels even tinier.
