I really enjoyed this short, sweet hook-up-to-lovers story. Ace and Derek were both adorable, and their connection was instantaneous and hot. The rest of the locals were entertaining, too. I wanted to know more about Ace and his background, but this was great for a short story.

The narration by Michael Dean was superb.

I loved the chemistry and the evolution of the relationship. The way they tried to fight the inevitable and the push and pull was so enjoyable. There was also some amazing narration in this one which entertained me even more. So good.

Adorable, quick insta-love novella. It was cute and steamy. Just what I needed for a reset after an angsty listen. Dean, as always, gave good narration.

I've been hitting the jackpot with Michael Dean performances on audio book lately, and this one is no exception. He captures Derek's exhaustion and almost bitterness at the beginning perfectly and then we can hear his attitude change as he meets Ace and their relationship develops from friendship to much more. There were some nice twists in the story and everything was nicely tied up at the end.
