About this listen

How far would you go to bury the truth?

While searching for a missing hill walker, Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team uncovers a body - just not the one they were looking for.

Still dealing with the fallout from their last case, DCI Jack Logan and his team venture south from Inverness to investigate a brutal, gangland-style execution in the wilds of the Highland countryside.

As the victim's dark secrets are gradually revealed, Jack uncovers the rot lurking beneath the stunning scenery, making himself the target of a criminal more dangerous than any he has faced before.

If he isn't careful, it won't just be a murder he's dealing with in Glencoe.

It'll be a massacre.

Blood and Treachery is the fourth book by number one Amazon best-selling author JD Kirk, perfect for fans of Tartan Noir.

Another one in the DCI Logan series. A series of murders needs sorting. The plot is well constructed and some tragic events make this an absorbing tale. Centred more on the story than Jack there are a few hints of troubles ahead.

Excellent crime thriller

You just have to read this series. The crimes, humour and accuracy of life in the highlands is exceptional. You are mad if you don’t listen or read these books.

This series of books are brilliant. I really enjoyed the characters and plots. The stories are gripping with excellent and unexpected twists. narrated brilliantly. There's humor within the relationships of the main characters, and the authors dialect of the main character made me laugh several times. He's a no messing, unapologetic, foul mouthed, driven detective....if you like crime fiction read it! by far the best series I've found on audio.

Best audio books series I've listened to.
