A good story with lots of surprises, it was well read by a good narrator. enjoyable.

I like Joy Ellis, It's mindless, I don't have to feel too challenged by her books, however,the narrator is awful, I really don't know why she thinks that police either speak in wide northern accents or ,for some reason men,speak in high pitched posh voices, I can't tell you how irritating it is.
I found the writing style of this book a bit immature in places but not a bad story.As I said ,it's mindless.

This is the third book in the Nikki Galena series.

On the day that Nikki Galena is returning to work after the death of her daughter a fire burns down one of her sheds. Was it accidental or arson? Then a member of her team is killed in a bit and run incident.

What is going on? are the team being targeted? Who is to be trusted?

With side kick Joseph, and the rest of her team, Nikki must solve an ongoing major investigation and support her team as they are targeted.

The narration is extremely fast. On my phone I listened to the story at 90% speed and it sounded much better!

I am looking forward to book 4.

Another good story but sadly the narrator remains dreadful, probably worse as obliged to attempt more accents. Such a shame.
