About this listen
Centuries ago, Sebastian Wroth was turned into a vampire against his will. Burdened with hatred and loneliness, he sees little reason to live. But when he finds that he’s the target for an exquisite fey assassin, he begins to reconsider.
Kaderin lost her two beloved sisters to a vampire attack long ago, and a benevolent force trying to save her from sorrow accidentally extinguished of all her emotions. Now known as Kaderin the Cold Hearted, she’s a ruthless assassin but she’s unable to complete her kill when Sebastian brings her feelings rushing back.
When the prize of a legendary month-long contest is powerful enough to change history, Kaderin will stop at nothing to win it for her sisters. But Sebastian wants only to win her, and he takes the contest’s exciting challenges as opportunities to seduce her. As the end of the competition draws nearer, Kaderin will be forced to choose between the vampire she’s falling for and reuniting her family…but how can she live without either?

What did you like best about this story?
The development of the relationship between Bowen and Meriketa. The growth from dislike to love and then abandonment is very well written. What does Robert Petkoff bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
The narrator does an excellent job. The difference between male and female voices works very well. He maintains the accents and has enough emotional range to enhance the story.Any additional comments?
I did read book 2 in this series and this is book 3, sadly the first hour of this book is a rehash of the end of the story in book 2, I very nearly gave it up as a bad job but after the first part the rest of the book is very good and a good listen. No Rest for the Wicked
