Summary

Timothy West is excellent as Rumpole (so is Bill Wallis but he is a good character actor) and, of course, the stories are intriguing as full of wit. I would recommend all of these to listeners. It makes the morning drive into work fizz and sparkle like nothing else without dulling the senses. If you forget the name of the reader it really becomes Leo McKern. Yup it is that good

What an absolute JOY! I apologised more than once for startling the natives with lols!
She Who Must Be Obeyed is as long-suffering and acerbic as ever. Rumpole you could just hug and Erskine-Brown you could just kick! Excellently read by Timothy West who's voice coloured the brilliant stories and brought them to life. Would recommend listening with a glass of Chateau Wherever it passes as Chateau Thames Embankment. Cheers Rumpole!!!
