About this listen

It could be worse. You could be stuck with a literal shoulder demon.

After dying and being reborn into a world that's built like a video game, Jim has found himself stuck in a very old-world style new-player zone for low-level adventurers. Unfortunately, the zone fell out of use centuries ago, and no one told the monsters they were supposed to take it easy on the Noobs. Even worse, the only new player around is Jim.

Jim has been given an opportunity, and he'll do his best to take advantage of it.

Keeping it sort for this one. Really like the first book good fix for this LitRPG addiction I have a the minuet. Nice start with the slow addition of people into the town more of a adventure book than a city builder in the first book any can't say I don't mind it though the name of the book and the cover art does have very little to do with what occurs in the story. Good voice action as well

I like where this one is going.

So it took a good few chapters to get into the style of writing and the bombardment of stats but after while it settles down. That's when it gets really enjoyable.
Every character has their own voice, expertly done ( tho am unsure if Badgerlore is Scottish, Cockney or Irish, either way uniquely done) He guy deserves a medal for amount of voices he creates.
The story would be just another fantasy type story if wasn't fir its unique premise and presentation. All the cliches are there but so we'll done that don't notice that they are. It's laugh out loud funny in place, other times gripping and some parts touching.
listened to first one, bought the rest. Hopefully lot more to come.

Bloody brilliant

This wasn't the most groundbreaking or thought provoking story I've ever read. The MC is a bit of an asshole as per normal. The set-up at the start is clunky and badly handled as normal. Then the MC gets a load of cool abilities for no reason.

Honestly, this was just a nice book to have on in the background while I got stuff done. Audio is good.

Pretty decent for LitRPG

Great book if you want a laugh, be warned it is not safe for little ears

Brilliant, fun, adult only book

If you like the genre, this is definitely one of the better ones; which is down to a mixture of things, the protagonist is likeable, genuine feeling like an intelligent man thrown into a ridiculous situation, and moans about things to an acceptable degree. Shart is great fun. The trials facing the main character make sense for his situation and level. But above all, apart from a few instances, the story and writing flow really well, which is where so many fall down.

Worth it, if you want a bit of fun, easy listening.

Well crafted game lit
