  • The Legacy of Jen Young
    Nov 25 2025

Today you get to meet Jen Young. Like the other women you’ve met on the podcast, we go way back. She has been my training buddy and friend since 2012 and she was one of the first athletes that I coached. She is a professor by day, master gardener, jane-of-all-trades and most importantly, Jen helped create the 4G training and racing mantra: gusto, gumption, gruel and grace. She has the spiritual gift of instigation, and I blame her for my addiction to IRON distance racing. She really has the power to inspire anyone to do anything with her confidence and fire. She is a multi-time IRONMAN with a lot of stories to tell. Please welcome: Jennifer Young

  • Legacy of Erin Green
    Jan 24 2025

Today you get to meet Dr. Erin Green. Erin is one of my endurance heroes. Her adventures have taken her around the world for some amazing endurance events. Not only did she chase and earn her Legacy spot to Kona, but she also has done a half-dozen XTREME iron distance races. [You’ll find out which one she won when you listen.]

On top of all that she recently earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington after 20 years of teaching math in public schools in North Carolina. Please welcome, Erin Green.

[This is another one in the series of triathletes in cars with bikes. Please excuse the minimal production quality.]
