  • You don't need more time. You need fewer options
    Jul 6 2026

If you got to the back end of last week and yet again, for what felt like the 457th week in a row, you hadn't achieved everything you wanted to achieved... then you probably finished the week frustrated. Again.

The thing is you're not alone in this. Most business owners, and especially MSPs, feel that frustration, because there never seems to be quite enough time to do all the things you want to do.

I believe that's looking at it the wrong way. And actually you should be reducing down the number of things that you could do.

Let's explore that in today's Monday Motivation

  • Imposter syndrome is good
    Jun 29 2026

You know imposter syndrome. It's where you think you're going to get "caught out" any moment. I've been doing marketing for MSPs for ten years and I still feel this way some days. Crazy, isn't it?

And yet the more I think about it the more I'm starting to believe that imposter syndrome is good.

Because it means that you're pushing yourself to achieve stretch tasks. And that's good, right?

Let's explore this in today's Monday Motivation. Plus I'll tell you the subject for our Tactical Tuesday tomorrow

  • You must get your marketing foundations in place
    Jun 22 2026

If I stop being humble about myself for a second, one of my super powers is the ability to look at the mysterious dark art of marketing and break it down into a series of practical tasks.

In fact this is what I've built the whole of the MSP Marketing Edge around.

It means that when I'm talking to members about their marketing, often I can see where they've taken shortcuts or missed out important tasks.

The most frequently missed out is getting the marketing foundation right. These are the basics you need in place to help you a) understand who you want to work with, b) why they would choose you, and then c) make sure that is reflected across all of your marketing.

Give me five minutes. And let's explore this right now.
