By then, he had acquired a reputation, which he had encouraged, as a "roistering, drunken and doomed poet." In the following recordings, Thomas reads his poems "Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night," "Poem in October," "In My Craft or Sullen Art," "Lament," "Fern Hill," "Poem on His Birthday," "A Refusal to Mourn," and "If I Were Tickled by the Rub of Love."
