A prisoner of his own immortal body, he's haunted by memories of the woman he lost, and the only thing to keep him sane is the hope to find out the truth about her disappearance ninety sunless years ago.

Thrown off balance in a momentary flare of vengeance, Gael puts himself between the devil and the deep sea. His master and lord — the White Prince — knows a simple way to deal with treason. But death — the only means to escape the Beyond — is out of the question for Gael.

As he prepares the invasion of the Mortal Realm, the White Prince is driven by his past scars. Long numbed to his atrocious job, Gael dreads the new task as now he must choose between the nobility making him human and something his comrade in arms and only friend, David, calls a greater good — their chance at destroying the White Prince's hopes for invading the Mortal Realm.
