About this listen

The death of a child and what seems to be a murderous puppet make a perfect case for Bryant and May and the Peculiar Crimes Unit. As John May and his team interrogate the suspects, Arthur Bryant heads into the secret world of illusions and stagecraft. As a second impossible death occurs, the detectives uncover forgotten museums and London eccentrics. The stage is set for a race against time with a surprising twist...

Bryant and May and the team investigate very nasty events surrounding the production of a blood thirsty play. Intricate and stylish.

If you are a fan of Bryant and May you will understand the 5* , if you haven't tried one of the audio books you should. Great stories , brilliantly read. History of London quirks in every story!

The crime is grim, the death of a baby. But it is an intriguing story and I am fond of Bryant and May. I would suggest listening to it at speed 1.2 or 1.3 (thank you Audible for making that possible).

I enjoyed it
