  • MARMCAST 38: Martin & Kim
    Mar 27 2026

Welcome to MARMCAST!! It's Episode 38!!

Tim and Andy open the pod this week by discussing Sunday night telly in the 80's, covering classics like Allo Allo, Hi Di Hi and Howard's Way. Predatory shop owners and a quick discussion on who would be Compo and who would be Foggy ensues.

An appearance from a sub 40 year old Martin on Goldy on Guitar - it's Bond night. Will he do Britain proud?

Then we meet Kim, a MARMCAST fan who is offering to laser Tim's hamstring into submission and get him back on his feet, from a lovely village called Pucklechurch, where the discovery of a body by a dog walker is a distinct possibility.

Andy recalls his Borderline Spiritual Jelly Legs at the much anticipated Ironbridge Half Marathon and we discover where MARMCASTERS have had their BS moments on the roads and trails.

Music comes from Drew Neirin with "Do What You Say You're Gonna Do".

  • MARMCAST Episode 37: Marion
    Mar 20 2026

Welcome to MARMCAST!! It's Episode 37!!

After some time flirting with the Top Ten, MARMCAST now sits in 13th position (UK Running Podcast Charts) and surely the evening with Raworth is only months away.

Tim is still down in the mouth following his first ever DNF and Andy is again sitting pretty on the back of "smashed burger night".

There is an AI led deep dive into every aspect of Jane McDonald's life, from clothing to homing.

The wonderful Marion plays Goldy on Guitar coinciding with the night Goldy's strumming becomes increasingly complex.

Although it looks like Ironbridge is surely a Bridge Too Far for MARM and Manchester also hangs in the balance, Andy can't wait to get to Telford for his latest medal.

Music comes from Paul Gillion with "Never Catch me Alive"

  • MARMCAST Episode 36: Bev
    Mar 14 2026

Welcome to MARMCAST!! It's Episode 36!!

It's Friday night. Tim is down in the mouth following his first ever DNF and Andy is cock of the walk following a decent week training and a fast parkrun.

We have the Blading hating Bev on Goldy, who can't hear a thing from Andy's guitar but still manages to scoop a voucher.

The Doc makes an appearance to help review the Cambridge Half Marathon on account of the fact that Tim didn't finish it and we ask the question, have you ever DNF'd and where? A wave of pity and pain ensues.

The Manchester playlist continues to build, but will it be Britpop, Metal or McDonald?

  • MARMCAST Episode 35: Tim H
    Mar 6 2026

Welcome to MARMCAST!! It's Episode 35!!

We are back on Friday night and after a brief spell of sunshine, the boys are tucking into choc ices and Soleros (respectively)

We have brilliant the Tim, from Bourton on the Water, who has offered MARM a limitless place to park the Galaxy, playing a children's version of Goldy.

Dr Ian has dropped an ipad on his foot and, with MARM's hammy and his tablet, Cambridge looks in doubt.

The Manchester playlist continues to build, but will it be Britpop, Metal or McDonald?

  • MARMCAST Episode 34: Kurt and Tris
    Feb 28 2026

Welcome to MARMCAST!! It's Episode 34!!

It's a Saturday night!! Having delayed their recording one night, the boys discuss Saturday night dinner and their parkrun escapades, with Andy pacing to PB's and Tim pacing to injury, one week out from Cambridge.

Chiropractor Tris joins the boys to help Tim through his hamstring pain, with the promises of needles and loosening. Kurt Wilson plays a very competent round of Goldy, another Manchester runner.

There's a review of the Bourton 10K in which Tim got the first of 4 monkeys off his poorly postured back, and the Manchester playlist continues to build, with the help of MARMCASTERS far and wide.

  • MARMCAST Episode 33: Laura B
    Feb 20 2026

Welcome to MARMCAST!! It's Episode 33!!

The boys discuss the pain of their respective weeks. From bramble injuries to tooth extraction failures and everything in between.

Todd joins the Bourton 10K preview excitement and it seems does not take the bait expertly laid out by Tim, based on Farmers and Bridges. He's on the night shift and gives short shrift.

The boys chat to Laura Bartlett-Short who is a year ahead of Tim in terms of marathons and not only does brilliantly on Goldie's brambled playing, but also passes on some useful tips about Manchester.

Question of the week, opens upthe questions of "what gets us out the door" with a range of great answers.

Tim is yet to decide whether he will run to music or not in Manchester, but the boys work on creating the perfect marathon playlist. Feel free to join in!!

  • MARMCAST Episode 32: Amy
    Feb 13 2026

Welcome to MARMCAST!! It's Episode 32!!

The boys discuss the murderous world of the music industry. In particular, murderous drummers with a cross to bear.

Andy discuss the nototiously difficult 3rd album and covers the reality of life on tour whilst Tim fantasises about MARMFEST.

The boys chat to Amy Broadfield, a rapidly improving runner, 4 years into her running career, who may well just be the Goldy on Guitar guest to wipe clean the memory of last week's disaster.

Question of the week, opens up a dark cave of pain and heatstroke...Let's leave it there.

  • MARMCAST Episode 31: Alex
    Feb 6 2026

Welcome to MARMCAST!! It's Episode 31!!

The boys have been running in the cold and wet. Andy is cock a hoop with his home made butter and Tim is wearing a hooded blanket.

The boys chat to Alex Bodin, a new Youtube Ultra Runner who has experience of the Manchester Marathon and may very well be the most inept guest on Goldie on Guitar in its short history. Truly, truly awful.

As well as chatting to Alex, it's always good to catch up with an old friend, as the Doc makes his first post Christmas return, and quickly forms an addiction based WA group.

The boys review the traditional Curtain Raiser at the Warwick Half Marathon (Charity Shield) and wonder aloud where the missing llamas were.
