"Walkiria” i "Latający Holender” powracają na Ziemię po długiej i dramatycznej misji. Wesoła Banda Piratów zdobyła potężną broń Pradawnych, dzięki której ludzie mają szansę dołączyć do szczytowych ras Drogi Mlecznej i zmienić układ sił w trwającym od wieków galaktycznym konflikcie. Wydaje się, że Ziemianie nareszcie są bezpieczni i że dla nich ta wojna dobiegła końca. Joe Bishop i jego załoga powoli oswajają się z nową rzeczywistością. Jak jednak się okazuje, nawet czas pokoju nie jest pozbawiony wyzwań dla zaprawionych w boju żołnierzy.

Żołnierze słabnących Sił Ekspedycyjnych ONZ pozostawieni sami sobie na kontrolowanej przez obcych planecie Paradise dostają szansę, by dowieść swej wartości podczas prostej misji szkoleniowej w kosmosie, na pokładzie okrętu pełnego młodych ruharskich kadetów. Niestety podczas misji dochodzi do nieprzewidzianych, dramatycznych zdarzeń, a wszystkim mieszkańcom Paradise zaczyna grozić śmiertelne niebezpieczeństwo. Ostatnia nadzieja w Wesołej Bandzie Piratów. Jednak aby pospieszyć na ratunek, załoga „Latającego Holendra” musi najpierw sama uporać się z własnymi problemami...

Przez lata starożytna SI znana jako Skippy (a dokładniej: Skippy Wspaniały, nie zapominajmy o tym tytule) dokonywała jednej niemożliwej rzeczy za drugą. W czym tkwi sekret siły Skippy'ego? To bardzo proste: w jego stuprocentowej, najwyższej klasy niesamowitości. Tym razem jednak przyda mu się odrobina pomocy ze strony zgrai brudnych małp.

Wesoła Banda Piratów ocaliła świat już kilkukrotnie, teraz jednak musi pogodzić się z tym, co nieuniknione. Ziemię czeka zagłada. Piratom pozostaje jedynie przetransportowanie kilku tysięcy Ziemian w bezpieczne miejsce, zanim kosmiczni najeźdźcy zniszczą ojczystą planetę ludzi. Choć to niezupełnie prawda. Pułkownik Joe Bishop i jego załoga mogą zrobić coś jeszcze. Zadać nieprzyjacielowi tak druzgocący cios, by pożałował, że kiedykolwiek usłyszał o Ziemi i jej mieszkańcach.

Zasłużony w boju lotniskowiec Sił Ekspedycyjnych ONZ "Latający Holender" wraca wreszcie na Ziemię, po szeregu wyjątkowo udanych misji, dzięki którym po raz kolejny udało się ocalić świat. Teraz okręt wymaga naprawy, a załoga marzy o chwili wytchnienia od tajnych operacji i zmagań z zaciekłym, potężnym nieprzyjacielem. Czy marzenia się spełniają? W przypadku Wesołej Bandy Piratów – niekoniecznie.

Kiedy renegaci z załogi "Latającego Holendra” wrócili z pomyślnie ukończonej misji, Siły Ekspedycyjne ONZ sądziły, że Ziemia będzie bezpieczna przez co najmniej kilkaset lat. Teraz SEONZ znowu potrzebują pomocy Wesołej Bandy Piratów. "Holender” wylatuje na prostą misję rozpoznawczą... Jednak w przypadku piratów nic nigdy nie jest proste. Z pozoru łatwe zadanie przerodzi się w prawdziwy Armagedon.

Ziemi wciąż zagraża gazowy obłok, sprowadzony przez Maxolhxów i blokujący promienie słoneczne. Chcąc zmusić nieprzyjaciół, by pomogli rozwiązać ten problem, albo przynajmniej nie wchodzili ludziom w drogę, generał Joe Bishop i Skippy zademonstrowali, że są w stanie kontrolować sieci tuneli czasoprzestrzennych i pozbawić szczytowe rasy dostępu do innych rejonów Drogi Mlecznej. Problem w tym, że rzekoma nowa superbroń ludzkości to zwykły blef. Czy nieprzyjaciel przejrzy oszustwo, czy też podejmie desperackie kroki, przekonany, że nie ma nic do stracenia?
