Witty, of an era but, at the same time, timeless. Well read, well written and a real pleasure to listen to. Eminently re-readable.

You can always rely on the Rumpole stories for a fun listen. Rumpole is the sort of reassuring presence that you always want to spend time with, and Patrick Tull does a fine job narrating.

The narrator was fabulous as Rumpole. In fact all the characters were beautifully acted.
